RHS pruning book advises no pruning necessary apart from removing spent flowers and wayward shoots and branches. If you do want to prune because of space or shape the best time is April-May as the growth buds are beginning to swell as this gives the maximum time for new shoots to ripen before winter.

They are not known for masses of flowers, Motinot - unlike the other green ones. :-((

I think if you treat it badly. Short of water short of food it is more likely to flower. Mine is never fed and rarely watered but is tight against a brick wall facing east. Every shoot has flower buds on it. If you don't like being nasty to it, try giving it a feed with Rose or Tomato fertilizer

I cut this one back after the first major flowers are over, usually June - they then produce again later on.

My Choisya Sundance got tilted over and loosened in a severe gale. It was put upright by our garden helper, after a severe prune to get at it to replant it firmly. It got over that and went too vigourous. Was pruned again pretty severely. It is currently still thinking about its next move. So mine is a rather sparky sort of sundance. It is only holding back due a 2 month drought in summer.

This shrub, if left, will easily get five feet by five feet (high and wide) and I've even come across one 8 x 8, so pruning is often required in smaller gardens!

I've never seen 'Sundance' get that big, Bamboo - what are they feeding it on?

Nothing - it was in a very neglected garden I went to about 3 years ago!
