It has large red pointed leaf with green leaf also.it's the plant they sell always for XMAS.unless you can send a picture you have and i'll let you know.Thanks BOB

It sounds like a poinsettia Bob the red leaves are actually bracts and the flower is the small yellow balls in the centre, they like to be kept in a warm position with plenty of light, dont overwater, they are very hard to keep in the U.K for a second year red ,the leaves drop and when they grow again they are green, they need at least ten hours of total darkness for a couple of months to turn the leaves red again.
