Has anyone got any advice for a NGS virgin-I am quite anxious about the whole thing mainly because I NOW realise that I have made my day FAR too early. 7th of April in the Lake District! There is a summer day as well so that should be ok.

The main things that Carol Klein advises are to cut and edge the grass, don't have obvious weeds, and make lovely cakes and tea. :-)) Plaster a smile on your face, too, and enjoy it!

I dont think you need to worry that your visitors will be all that critical. If they are like me they will just be looking for some tips to take home to their lesser plot, and to enjoy a trip out. The lovely cakes sound good too.
