It is a fritilaria but any idea which one? dont know what has happened to the label. I cant have written one. its in a 9cm diam pot.

Ok, if you didn't like that how about raddeana (greenish/yellow flowers) or bucharica (whiter flowers). It looks to be too small for a flowering sized imperialis.

Another thought! I can't see the stem in the picture but could it be fasciated? Frits are prone to this and it would really confuse the id.

I think it is F davisii. A friend has this one and it looks very similar.

F davisii normally has one large, chequered flower per stem although, occaisonally, it can have as many as four. Yours looks as if it is going to have eight or more flowers on the one stem, putting it in the imperialis group of frits.
