corkscrew hazelnut
Hi, as anyone grown a corkscrew hazelnut in a tub, thinking of buying one, but no room in the garden, would appreciate some advise, thanks

My brother has. he has it in a very large salt glazed pot. he feeds it every year in spring and replaces the top 2" of compost with slow release granules in it. The pot will restrict the overall final size of the plant as the roots will be restricted.

I have a cultivar with red leaves called Red Majestic, which I think has extra seasonal interest outside winter

My friend has one in their garden, not sure of the type but they planted theirs out and it is now huge.

thanks to everyone , another reason for growing it in a tub is it will hopefully restrict it,s growth.

Great container plants, but as has been said, careful attention to water and food. However, it's not a demanding tree. There's one in a Winchester garden 8 metres (26ft) tall. I have a thirty year old one in a 40 litre pot just 6ft tall, hanging with catkins, a lovely sight
