Both points Spritz raises are possible causes for non flowering - these plants particularly dislike a southfacing position and should only be pruned to keep them close to their support, and not at all if climbing up a tree. As you're not getting flowers already, if you can. refrain from pruning until it has flowered, and then trim it back.

This is one of those plants that takes time to settle in before it decides to flower. I'm afraid you'll just have to be patient - it will flower when it's ready

i have mine on the south wall of the house, though its roots tend to be in shade and it flowered after 4 yrs. I rarely prune it except to keep the window clear.

Mine flowered after seven years,2009 being the second year . I think after waiting so long, the pleasure was greater !.I had considered getting rid of it until I discovered those first two flowers which I found hiding behind leaves,I treasure it now.

Which direction is it facing, Staley? Mine is shaded - not in the sun. I don't know whether that makes a difference - or another thought. Are you keeping it pruned it back and therefore losing the flowers?
