is this mistletoe that has suddenly appeared on an apple tree in kent? it is not actually a tree as such..they have been trained along a wire system...similiar as along a wall ?! no other growth is showing. the leaves are
quite thick and hard

I agree, that is mistletoe. you lucky person. I have been trying to grow it for years ..... no success.

I had no idea it grew as far north as that - Only seen it before in the south west. I'll say it as well - lucky you!

Steragram is right, Mistletoe is rare out of the SE of England, so you are lucky. Apple is the preferred tree for it to grow. I have put some seed into a cut in some Birch trees in my garden (from Christmas Mistletoe from Tesco). Not had any luck yet!

when i lived down south!! i saw it by the ton in bushey park..long before the parakeets !!

Yes, that's mistletoe. It just appeared, lucky you. Others try for years to grow it, with no success.
