Will these plants survive the -8 temperatures we've just had? Mine are kept in pots.

On plant Clianthus puniceus

Probably only if you have kept them in a greenhouse. Failing that, up against the house would be best. Unfortunately the soil in the pots has probably frozen solid which they will not enjoy. Fingers crossed for you!

My friend has one of these in her back garden, on very well-drained soil, trained against a trellis. She covers it with fleece in autumn and leaves it on in colder periods. Last winter, it survived one night of -8C here.

How do I say thanks?
