i have 2 acers 1 is a dark red wispy leaf, the other a golden green leaf have been in pots about 3 years now have a garden want to replant in he ground what kind of soil would i need can i plant them now ?

Neutral to acidic not alkaline. When you do plant in the ground make sure the trunk is buried to exactly the same depth it is in the pot.
