I,ve a couple of prunus avium which have had it for a few years but I lost three Kanzan, such a shame, one survived though.

Could be bacterial canker which is the curse of prunus varieties. If possible, can you cut out below the weeping joints? Otherwise to be the bringer of bad news it could be close of play. As far as I know there is no known chemical remedy.
