Can fir trees interfere with building foundations

Answers
The rule of thumb is to plant the fir no closer than 1/3 of the expected mature height. For most species, this means a distance of 30 feet or more from the foundation, and I would go at least 50 feet, for safety's sake.

Sorry, this is impossible to answer without more info - what type of 'fir' tree and how close to the foundations in terms of feet or metres is necessary information.
