Hedychium gardnerarium. I've had one in a large plastic pot for 2 years (kept over winter in a cold greenhouse) and the roots are now pushing the pot out of shape. Would now be a good time to divide it? There are no signs of any shoots yet.

If have been in cold greenhouse all year then you can divide them now. I normally divide when the green growth blacken and come off.

Yes you can divide it now. or pot up into an even bigger pot so as not to loose the 'flower display'
