There are some beautiful water features on the internet, just google water features. You could make your own with a ceramic jug and a pump with the water trickling into a ceramic bowl, or my favourite, an iron wall fountain with the water coming out of a lions mouth. Its all a matter of preference really.

While I think the look is the first consideration for many? I also think the sound of water is important so make sure you like the sound a water feature gives before buying.
