Hi I've received some plug plants this morning (a lucky dip offer) amongst them are tiny rose plants how best to bring them on? How long before they flower do you think?

I always pot up to 9cm pots and put in greenhouse or coldframe/windowsill regardless of what plant it is - bigger the plant going out the more likely it is to flower and thrive.

I grew some Rose plants from 4 seperate cuttings sold in pots as gifts, they are each now about 6 feet across, and flower beautifully every summer. Real bargain.

I,d treat them the same as the other plugs, sometimes you see miniature roses sold as pot plants so I,d just grow them on and wait and see

I also did not know that Roses came in plug plants as they are normally sold are bare roots or 1-3 litre pot plants.

Roses are not usually sold as plug plants, are you sure they're roses? Derek.
