moss like plant in pond, can anyone please tell what the plant is that grows in my pond, it is much like the moss that grows in the lawn, but a little taller, it grows on the pebbles and in the base of the pond, I don't know anyone else who as it in their pond, the water lice same to like it and my pond is very clear ,I have to keep taking quite a lot out to keep on top of it, I do have a small old log in the pond which as been in for years ,could this be the cause

If the pond is clear perhaps you should let it grow there, just keeping it in check if necessary. It will be oxygenating the water.

it could well be moss, in the shallow bits of mine there is a pretty moss growing. I just leave it. removing any that gets too much.
