Defrosted vegetables for compost bin.
My neighbour offered me some out of date frozen runner beans (bought in the supermarket) for my compost bin.
She asked me if because they had been frozen could they still be composted. I don't know. To the best of our knowledge they had never been cooked. Whether they get blanched in the packing process-not sure if that would make any difference.
Can anyone see any problems composting defrosted vegetables?
Thanks.

I put our own frozen veg that doesn't get used in time into the compost - doesn't do any harm.

Can't see any problem at all. Even cooked veg (kitchen waste) is OK.
