I have two camellia japonicas that have a group of leaves that as re about three times the normal size, very thick, waxy, and snow white with as light green tint underneath the leaf. One set has a red variegation on the top of the leaves

Answers
It's not unusual - camellia leaf gall. Pick off the affected leaves before they go all white and dispose. I hate spraying, so I don't, but there's probably a remedy out there somewhere.
