Hi, my rhubarb has got seeds forming in the centre, looks a bit like cauliflower or brocoli, but pink. Does anyone know if I should leave them or chop them off. I've never seen this before. Many thanks.

Yes mine are doing the same. I will be taking them out tomorrow and chucking them in the compost bin.

so far as I know they will be ok. the rhubarb plants in a local nursery flower every year and don't seem to suffer as a consequence.

Most plants seem to lose some of their enthusiasm after flowering though don't they? If you have a lot of rhubarb there would be plenty left anyway but if you only have one or two crowns perhaps leave just one flower for fun and remove the others?

Thank you for that. I have only 2 crowns, so will take one out and leave the other for comparison
