Hi. which shrubs grow best under tree's in dry conditions

Symphoricarpus the snowberry does really well in dry shade situations, however be aware they do tend to sucker a lot given time, but are easily grubbed out, this shrub comes into its own in the winter once the leaves are shed you are left with many white largish berries, hence the name, i have noted over time that shrubs under the canopy of beech can do well, these being Cotinus, Ilex, Viburnham bodnantense, Forsythia, Hypericum Hidcote, buxus.
