Transplanted redcurrent bush - waterlogged?
hello parents moved house unexpectedly so about 3 weeks ago we transplanted a big standard bush - we decided we would rather risk it than leave it....such a beautiful bush and the fruit was fantastic.. my dad said to keep watering it after we transplanted, but the last 2 days it has really really drooped and Im worried Im over watering it.... I have just snipped off all the fruit incase the bush's energy and goodness was trying to develop the fruit rather than concentrate on surviving (does that make sense?) and lets face it I dont think the fruit would have been good after transplanting it at its prime... any advice on how I might help its survival?

You could lose a third of the shrub, probably.

Water or not it's bound to flag after a move at this time of year, such are the demands on the roots from the leaves etc. You've done the right thing by reducing the top growth (probably worth being more drastic), and I don't doubt it'll slowly recover even if it loses a few leaves/new shoots as it does so.
