This garden was an empty canvas when we moved in 15 years ago, so we planted lots of evergreen shrubs
(including a lot of yellow ones for winter brightness), and the rest I filled in with mostly purple and pink perenials. Very lovely and ordered. However, Nature didn't like it that way, and in recent years, decided that a tumble of self-seeded forget-me-nots, violets, Welsh poppies, Alchemilla Mollis etc would look much better.
Who am I to argue ?

Hey Cammomile, I would love those to spread in my garden.Pity I don't live next door to you- we could do swaps !
Sorry, Snoopdog, I don't know how to put photos on, although I have taken masses over the years.
Many thanks to both of you.

Are you sure you don't live next door to me? Sounds exactly like my garden! However I suffer from a surfeit of aqulegias of all colours and blue geraniums.
