I accidentally cut a green bud on my banana plant as I thought it was a leaf bunching problem. Will this trunk recover and start producing leaves again or is it dead. The bud was very green and the flower stalk had not developed. Gutted : (

No leaves at all. The leaves just stopped that why I thought it had bunching disorder. If it is gonna die should I cut the stem back to the ground to let the one suck take over? Totally gutted

I would save what green leaves that you can, since they will help feed the sucker. Just cut them off as they turn brown.
