What's happening with my hedge?
My back hedge (Ilex JC Van Tol) is loosing it's foliage at an alarming rate! It's almost foliage less in one section.
I've tried to find any sign of insect infestation but can't find anything obvious.
Any thoughts on what might be happening?

There isn't much to affect holly, apart from extremes of drought or wet. Much as I'm not one to immediately jump at a disease, it is possible your hedge is suffering from holly leaf blight. Check it out. Usually the dieback starts from low down on a hedge and creeps upwards

Worthy - I found that information on the RHS website and after looking about the web for a while, I wasn't convinced that was the problem.
I'll see if anyone else has any thoughts.
