That looks remarkably like the bietola (beet?) plants I have in my garden - delicious!

Better just leave it then, and see what happens when it grows.

In am thinking it is acanthus as I have 2 huge ones growing near the pots. I hope it is, as I don't like 2 plants growing together it must 3, 5 or more !
