I need some help with my turnips,this is the first time ive planted them and they are comeing on nice,but...they tried to flower and ive taken them off in the hope they wont go to seed but they keep trying to flower,are they a lost cause now and should I pull them up and plant soething else,chris

Unfortunately, once they start to bloom, that usually means that they are getting tough and hot, underground.

You could try another sowing of turnips

Make sure the soil is rich, and has a reasonable amount of nitrogen, and not too much bone meal, and keep them well watered, to prevent premature flowering in the future.
