Too young? Not been in the garden long enough? Trees do need to be well established before they attempt to flower.

I agree, mine did not flower properly for some years.

Well worth waiting for and few and far between these days. I know they're poisonous but so are so many other plants. It's a question of watching small children and training them not to eat anything unless an adult has said it is ok, every time!
