they look like marigold leaves to me. These self seed [maybe from another garden.] We have loads usually, orange flowers and very pretty, keep them and see?

Not marigolds but wait and see - could be something interesting!

Perhaps more Sweet Williams that haven't budded up yet. Just popped out to look at mine and they are just the same. (except for the two with serrated edges to the leaves - they are somthing else and probably weeds) Lucky if so as they should extend the flowering season for you.

As I said, my Sweet Williams look exactly the same - the flowering ones have darker leaves and the bright green ones have yet to flower - but I bet my boots that you'll discover they are Sweet Williams eventually. Please let me know!

my pale flowered sweet williams are paler leaved and the dark red ones have a darker leaf. so probably still sweet williams.

Legs hope with the warm weather on the way they will hurry up and flower I'm so inpatient lol .if they turn out to be weeds I'm going to cry :) only joking but isn't it ice really when you don't know hopfully it will be a nice little surprise for me my only concern is they are directly under my bird feeder and my mom brought me some expensive bird seed in the winter.on the plus side there are 50 plus of these but are Injoy weeding anyway:)

Don't be in too much of a hurry - delay now could mean flowers later, perhaps when the others have finished.

Hi, I can't see any flowers, just a few buds on the sweet william, but if you didn't plant the others , I would think they are weeds, Derek.
