I would like my verbascum to self seed so am I beat leaving all the flower stalks on. Thank you

yes you will have to leave the seed heads on for the seed to form properly. you could then collect the seed and grow them on first and then plant them where you want them. I always have trouble recognising some of self sown jobs.

Thanks SBG, yes I do as well. I have probably pulled up loads of seedlings without me knowing over the years. Think the answer is not to be so fastidious about weeding!
