Steps to stop dodder?
Hello all,
Today, I was inspecting the thistles I applies roundup in my almond/walnut garden and saw a mass of dodder just grew close to one of my new walnut trees just inside a big camelthorn (thistle).
I just cut all the thistles and dodders around the tree and set a fire.
Since the ground has a lot of camelthorns and other thistles (small bushes) I'm afraid that this bastard infects all of the garden and specially my trees.
Is there any steps to do ?
How can I stop this ?
Also help me stopping camelthorns and thistles which are really a hassle.
I applied roundup on them a few times but the keep growing !
Thanks a lot.

No, I cannot tell you.
I live in Iran and there is very hard to find out the exact species.
Thank you for your reply.
I will keep eyes on it and burn it
Thanks

Dodder is parasitic so if you keep hacking down the host plants you should be ok. Cant remember if it invades woody plants. I guess it will depend on which species you have. Whereabouts are you as your avatar doesn't give a country for where you live.
Do you know which species you have?
Keep applying the weedkiller or if possible dig the roots out and don't let them self seed.
