Hi all, I know this is a silly question but I am new to veg growing how do I know when my carrots are ready to harvest they are in a big tub thanks guys

the only way to do it I think is to carefully lift one from the edge. or from a dim distant memory is to scrape the soil back from the top and see how fat the carrot top is. If its big enough for you to think its ready then try lifting some.
