Most people were disappointed last year. Wouldnt try them again, expensive mistake. Might be ok in the polytunnel, just dont know.

We found them a waste of time and money the one year we tried them.

Nothing Snoop in my opinion, I think it is just a novelty

If you're growing spuds anyway this year, why not leave some in, for a very late digging. The times I've found perfect 'new' pots when I've been turning the ground in winter, you might try leaving some in situ for a very late harvest

Guess it depends if you get a serious frost before Christmas Worthy. Though, having said that, we once gleaned desiree tatties in January which had been frozen and they were wonderfully flavoursome!

Actually I only grow one bag at this time of year and down here the frosts are not so severe before I harvest them but being in a bag they can be moved if need be.

You can soak it up with roasties if you squash them hard enough.
Steveg I found one of my earlies that had been living for a few days in a lidded terracotta potato storage pot had started to grow already so it might well be worth giving it a try.
