I have aubretia growing along a wall, and after the long dry spell it is looking very untidy, should I trim it, would this benefit next years flowering.

The dead growth won't do any good anyway. Cut it away, and water the plant. It'll be fine

Thanks for that, I will get out tomorrow and cut it back. It is raining here now so it will have a nice watering tonight.

I've cut mine back today. looking a bit sparse but all will be well in a week or three.
