Hi, I have very young clematis plants bought as plug plants which I potted up. They have grown very leggy, can I pinch out to encourage them to bush out more and strengthen before planting out in garden?
Thankyou Mrs E Killen

you would probably be better to plant them out now and let them scramble upwards which is what they prefer to do. I don't usually pinch clems out.

Do you know which clematis they are?

Plant them out/pot them up. Next spring you can cut them down and watch them up and flower

How do I say thanks?
