I was sent 3 Ismene bulbs this spring with no guidance on planting or care. I should like some help on planting time, suitable soil and likely height of blooms. All three are now showing either roots or leaves or both.

I've tried them in the past. I planted them twice the depth of the height of the bulb as soon as I got them. So I'd get them planted as soon as you can. they need plenty of warmth and light.

Do they need frost protection SBG?

I lost mine in the first very hard winter 2009/10. In milder winters it probably would do ok.
