Hi, can anyone tell me if there is anything wrong with these beef toms. They have been grown by my neigbour and he seems to thing that they should'nt be wringled and nobbly like this, is that is the right description. He has now pulled up his plants, I told him I would ask on this site. Many thanks in advance.

I would have said that they still had some growing to do and shouldn't have been picked yet.

Shame he's pulled them up as they would have grown a lot bigger.......

If he wraps them in kitchen roll and puts them in a drawer they might ripen. T&M show a few varieties on their website with this shape.

They resemble my Marmande Toms, but are better shaped. If they're Marmande they're fine, although as someone else said - they're unripe.

Nothing wrong with them that I can see except they aren't ripe yet.
