My guess is Ugni molinae (Chilean guava) syn. Myrtus ugni, Eugenia ugni.
We have two (which actually look a bit different to each other).
They both produce delicious dark reddish pink berries, which have a slight taste of strawberries - which is why we bought them.......
(Each gets berries on their own - you don't need two together).

It doesn't look a bit like my Ugni.
I have pictures of it on my Plants List and it's nothing like.

I would have said it was a Viburnum of some sort.

Makes me think of Myrtus from its growth habit, but could be a Cotoneaster - when was this picture taken? Is the plant deciduous or evergreen?
