ID required.... Anyone know what this might be....spotted it in a seaside garden at Broadstairs in Kent, seems to grow to around 4` tall, and a very sturdy plant.

Acanthus spinosus - Bear's breeches.

Might be A. mollis (I often confuse them).

Vigorous thugs if not held in check. But very hardy and useful.

I have A mollis and its flowers look like this. doesn't like spikey enough to be A spinosus but need a better shot of the leaf to be certain.
