Well we thought our transplated iris was going to flower.
It isn't a iris though. On closer inspection the leaves are similar but form a rosette round the plant. The rhizome looks similar, but could be a woody stem.
Any ideas clever people?

I think you are correct Seaburngirl. I have had a quick look round at some pictures.
So I moved it thinking that its position as an iris by the houses previous occupant in smi-shade was not as ideal as in the North bed at the front of the hous and the change in climate suited it as a Yucca.
Plant Label required then.

looks like a yucca. but its not something I grow.
