Feel the centre 'cone', it's like a friendly hedgehog. Lovely flowers. Look for ones called 'Tomato Soup', 'Purity', 'Tangerine' and 'Green Envy' for something different.

Owdboggy - that may be due to slugs rather than the weather. The newer varieties of echinacea are favoured by them

This is planted in quite a shallow Plastic Urn and has come up again from last year. The flower petals face upwards not down though :o))

Definitely the cold here Andrew. Even the bog standard one and its white version do not survive without protection and we don't do protection.
Shame really as there are some really good colours and forms coming over from the USA
