Pennisetum 'Fireworks' looks wonderful . . . is it an annual or perennial? (I had Pennisetum 'Rubrum' once, but it wasn't hardy, so I don't want to risk buying this if it might also succumb.) Thanks.

Usually grown as an annual, i.e. it isn't likely to last a second year, and it's certainly one of the more tender pennisetum species, too.

Thanks Phil . . . just what I needed to know. Several are on sale at the local GC (for about £7 I think), so it's a lot to spend if they're only going to last a few more weeks.
