Hi,
My rhododendron has just started to get yellow leaves and I suspect it needs some iron. As it is now late August would I be wrong to feed it now? Will it be okay to wait until spring?

No,not too late, with a feed for acid loving plants..and plenty of water..any rain will find it hard to get to the roots if it has a large canopy of foliage..any others you may have, will benefit too,. e.g,Camellias,Pieris etc...
