Answers
The "classic" Christmas tree of old in this country is the Norway Spruce (Picea abies), though there are three species of Fir, genus Abies such as the Caucasian Fir (Abies nordmanniana) for example that have become popular of late because of their needle retention. The other two Firs being the Noble Fir (Abies procera) and the Fraser Fir (Abies fraseri).
