I have two Clematis in patio containers. One has not flowered for two years, the other only gets a few flowers. I have had them for seven years.What would you advise?

Answers
Smaller varieties of clematis such as The President will grow and flower in pots quite well for up to 7 years - but the pot needs to be 2 feet deep by 12/18 inches wide.

I had three in pots and they never flowered. They are now in the garden and have flowered for the first time this year. Maybe they were too restricted or didn't have enough nutrients.
