We have got so many plums this year, it is unbelievable - even though we have taken a lot off by hand & a lot have fallen naturally.
However, now that they are ripening we are finding that they nearly all have black specs/bits inside, (ruining them for eating), as if there is a grub, but haven't actually seen the little blighters yet!!
Can anyone tell me what this is & should we spray or something next year?
We also have a Victoria growing in a half barrel which is now about 5 years old I guess, and the plums on that are much better!
