Hi, is it in the ground or in a pot?, and do you know which species you have, {some are hardy, some are tender}, Derek.

Hi, I would try mulching it for the winter, prune out any dead, diseased, or crossing branches, and then give the surrounding soil a good feed next spring.
I had a supposedly hardy Hibiscus which hardly got any flowers, then 1 year I had to move it, I put it in a large pot and placed it in an unheated greenhouse, the following summer it was absolutely covered in flowers, it seemed to me that, although they're hardy, they don't like wet winters, Derek.

Thank you very much for the advice and will do as you suggest.don't like to lose any plant ,the same as you ,I suspect.let's hope the winter is a lot kinder this year.
