Morning a neighbour has lifted some bearded iris's with rhizomes and gave them to me ...can I plant them in the ground now or store them dry for spring...thank you

Get them in the ground now, Kate. Plant so that the roots go down into the soil but the rhizome is at the surface. Cut te leaves off half-way down and keep watered - unless it is raining like it is here this Saturday morning!
