Hi there, I am fairly new to potato growing but I have experience elsewhere. I notice some of my batch have severe disfiguration and others have scab. I know you can cut out and eat the non-affected areas but what else should I do apart from burn the scab etc. can I do anything to prevent this in the future?

Agree no need to burn the scab and, once peeled, the tatties are perfectly edible. as to the misshapes the tatties you see in the stores are all graded for their shape and size, there is no such thing as a mishappen tattie!

Scab is more prevalent in soils with a lot of Lime in it too.
