Sweet peas, do they look right ? (my babies) or are they in need of more light? They look quite straggly to me. One can't help being a worrier with ones first born:-)

Yep....agree with Bamboo Ba...these look like mine did last year, and I did exactly that. I've just sown mine which are in the greenhouse...I'm only hoping its warm enough in there to get them to sprout....:o(

My first only took a few days Janey, but they are in a bedroom. Would they be better in a small double glazed porch, no heat of course? I have ordered a mini plastic greenhouse from Wilkinsons which will fit in the porch. It will be arriving soon so would that be ok?

By the time it arrives and you've assembled it, probably it will be alright - if its a porch, presumably it has a door which opens to the outside every time you go out, so temperature fluctuation will be an issue, but if they're in the mini greenhouse, and we're nearer to March, they'll be fine.

Yes I'm sure they would Ba.....now theyre through....you don't want them growing too fast. I used to have a mini GH, it was great for seedlings.....is your porch quite light?

Yes it is quite light in fact it's all glass Janey. Bamboo, I'll make everyone go round the back:-)

They look typical of inside reared seedlings to me - they always are a bit etiolated if not in a coldframe or in a greenhouse. Let 'em grow and if they're still terribly leggy later on (when you want to plant them out) cut the tops off and let them regrow.
