Can you tell me the name of a lovely smelling honeysuckle. We used to have one years ago in another house but never knew it's name. We've tried a couple of varieties but haven't come up with one that smells lovely.

there are lots of varieties but I don't think you can beat the old cottage favorite ' woodbine' -- on a summer evening !

The variety 'Graham Thomas' is reckoned to be one of the best for scent

Wait a little longer and but one that is in flower, then you can be sure of the scent. Or google 'scented honeysuckle' and read Chris Beardshaw's article on the Guardian pages.
