I have been given some young plants of the following Puya berteroniana these look amazing plants and would they grow outside in the UK over summer and will I have to bring them on for winter

they are frost tender from what i can gather. so they would have to have winter protection as they are happier on the dry side but wont tolerate winter wet.
You will have to be careful of their spines as they can be prickly little devils.
